Our Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Steele County Clothesline. By assisting in our store, accepting and processing donations, completing donation receipts, helping with fundraisers, and advocating on behalf of the organization and our customers, our volunteers make it possible for the Clothesline to serve the community while keeping our costs low.

Volunteer Spotlight

Don Schiltz: "I  started volunteering at the Clothesline in March of 2001 for just a couple hours each week. I recycled the cardboard and hauled clothing to Waseca for recycling. I left in November of 2013 and returned in April of 2015. I help with the receiving and processing of donations to get items out as soon as possible. I also assist with the recycling and help to keep the receiving area as neat and tidy as possible.

I volunteer at the Clothesline because I enjoy helping people and I enjoy working with the staff. It's a good feeling to be helpful and appreciated."
